The race is still on for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary election.
The largest constituency in the Greater Accra, Shai-Osudoku which for the past 32 years been under NDC control is crying out for change this year.
Some youths within the constituency have been complaining of the poor development of the capital, Dodowa and other parts of the areas since the NDC came to power 32 years ago.
Some believe that it is time the long serving parliamentary candidate of Shai-Osudoku, step down or vote out of power this coming election due to her poor administrative conduct in the areas and also because of her complain that she cannot help the constituency again unless NDC wins the presidential slot.
This indeed has turn some of the youths and upcoming new registered voters within the constituency so angry.
Some Businessmen and Women also complained about the lack of women empowerment and poor SME’s (Small and Medium Enterprises) assistance in most of the areas within the constituency.
Others also said, the present Member of Parliaments of Shai-Osudoku, Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo only come to the people during time of elections, and they believe it is time this must stop in a country like Ghana.
Most people within the constituency came out in numbers to voice out the urgent need for change in their Member of Parliament during a Constitutional Media tour of Plan Ghana Network.
Others However believe Hon Linda as most call her, has done a lot for the girls in the areas and need the government full support to continue with her present girl’s empowerment programs.
Some residents in Dodowa and other part of the constituency suggested that, Mr. Benjamin Nargeh who is the NPP Parliamentary candidate racing against the long serving NDC parliamentary candidate Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo is the best for the people of Shai- Osudoku this coming election due to the projects and programs he and his team has lay down for the people of Shai- Osudoku for the past 4 years even though he is not an MP yet.
