Electricity supply has been fully restored to Tamale and surrounding areas after successful engagements led by the Ministry of Energy. The move comes after workers from the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) and the Volta River Authority (VRA) reversed their earlier decision to suspend operations in the area.
The Ministry commended the swift cooperation among all stakeholders, including the security services, who continue to maintain vigilance to ensure public safety and protect critical infrastructure.
In a statement, the Ministry called on residents to avoid any form of hostility or aggression towards utility staff, emphasizing the importance of a safe and respectful environment for workers carrying out essential services.
